Bad GE CEO Jeff Immelt
For our readers that don’t know, my attorney that was prosecuting my ADA case against GE passed away recently and finding a new attorney willing to do battle with GE is moving slowly.
I thought that you would like so midday entertainment at jus how it is that GE and their despicable law firms work.
Here it is in a nutshell. GE is threatening one of my physicians with contempt and asking for sanctions against him, because GE claims that he is not cooperating with them. (Never mind that GE has received my Protected Health Information (PHI) from this physician already, on numerous occasions)
But, GE is also demanding that the discovery (that they are required to produce) be postponed indefinitely.
Take a look at the email extractions below and my answer to the interim attorney that is managing my former attorneys affairs.
GE’s Lawyers write:
“We represent General Electric Company in the above-captioned matter. We received your August 29, 2011 notice of your appointment by the Yuba County Superior Court as Practice Administrator of Mr. Goldman's firm. I called your office, but I was unable to leave a voice message because your voicemail box is full.
I write to address two matters. First, Defendant has discovery responses due on September 15, 2011. We request that you permit Defendant an indefinite extension on these responses until Mr. Delsman retains new counsel.

“David,
I read the attached letter from GE’s Lawyers. Here are a few quick points that I would like to make and that you might pass along to GE.
Dr. Jutila is happy to go before Judge Armstrong (under threat of contempt) and explain to the court how GE sent forged medical releases to his office in an illegal attempt to unlawfully obtain my Protected Health Information. If necessary, this can be verified by the Eureka field office of the FBI. This is who Dr. Jutila sent the forgeries to.
Secondly, Dr. Jutila and I want to know to whom my PHI is going to be disseminated to. In the past, GE has taken the position that it is none of my business. This is clearly in violation of the ADA.
Thirdly, Abe requested specific discovery from GE, period. This discovery should not be postponed as it will give attorneys that examine my case a better opportunity to judge it on the merits.
