Social Security Administration News
I called the nice people at the Social Security Administration this week to find out the status of the Fraudulent Claim, False Claim (or other description in artfully plead) that I am being forced to file on behalf of MetLife, the GE Disability Benefits Center and Sedgwick Claims Management Services and received some interesting news. Apparently the nice people at SSA stopped processing the claim. Hmm?
The gentleman that I spoke with said that for some reason the process had stopped, although it was approved in February of this year.
The fact that it has taken 10 months from the time of the approval to the present date of nonpayment, has me wondering. It certainly seems that the SSA /OIG simply doesn't give a shit in regards to the fraud complaint that I filed nor the 1000+ pages of documentation to substantiate my complaint that I sent in.
It seems that in some form of "typical government fashion" SSA is simply going to allow the statutory limitation clock to run out without taking any action. What does that mean in plain english? It means that our Government, the US Government doesn't seem to have any trouble with crooked multinational corporations stealing money from SSA, the taxpayers, yep you and me. It would be very easy for Eric Holder and his Justice Department to do a little leg work and analyze cases that meet the following criteria:
- Forced onto SSDI by employer, TPA or insurance company.
- Employer, TPA or insurance company terminates benefits once claimant is "officially" on SSI.
- Has an identifiable history of bad faith, or deceptive practices.
There are thousands of these types of cases out there [very well documented] but the government does nothing to bring justice to the victims, instead, it sits idly by allowing it's citizens to be destroyed.
Here is another example of our government letting us down:
California regulators seek up to $9.9 billion in fines from PacifiCare
The health insurer violated state law nearly 1 million times from 2006 to 2008 after it was bought by UnitedHealth Group, the Department of Insurance says.
(Apparently the second such action in less than 5 years)
According to the LA Times Article, "The health insurer violated state law nearly 1 million times" What? And we are still talking about this? These guys belong in jail. If our government really gave a shit, they would have arrested the CEO, filed an Indictment under the RICO statute, seized the assets of the corporation and it's officers, then paid the legitimate claims filed by patients and healthcare providers. Period.
And, regarding the scum at UnitedHealth Group , take a look at their profits as reported in a past blog:

Warning Target Shoppers!
We received the following email regarding the nice people that run Target and the company that appears to manage CONSUMER CLAIMS on Target's behalf, Sedgwick CMS
Thread:

I have a dispute with Sedwicks and want to know how I can fight them.Staying with my daughter in TX i had a slip and fall on a waxed floor in Target. i sustained injuries and of course have this monster called Sedwicks to deal with. they have denied my claim, basically calling me a fraud. Back in OZ for a short time, I want to fight them for what I believe is right. Hope you can advise me how. Many thanks.

Lillian,,Were you a customer when you were at Target or working there? I am not a lawyer but you might consider talking to one here in the US once back from OZ. I noticed a bunch of web traffic on my websites from Brisbane was wondering who it is.
Can I post the comment that you sent above on my website?
Stay in touch"

Yes Rob I was a customer. The manager wanted to call an ambo to take me to hospital as i was bleeding and couldn't walk, my daughter took me and I asked "who will pay for the hospital " He said present the pink copy of the accident claim and Target will pay. This is of course not what happened. I was not attended there and my daughter took me home and she cared for me. Then I had my first dealing with Sedwicks the next day.
After many intimidating phone calls, being made to feel like the world biggest scammer, I was offered out of pocket expences for medical costs. I declined as there was on going expences to my knee and I felt pain and suffering should be compensated for as well.
Mary Jo Weichmann was the investigator and she has declined my claim totally. I have asked if this also means the " out of pocket expences " she had previously offered. As to date she has not replied to that email.
I do intend to fight these bullies!! I have walked for over 60 years, danced for a good 45-50 years of that and never fallen and to say it was my fauly I slipped when the claim form states the floor was slippery, having just been waxed.
I thought maybe you could steer me in a direction as our laws down here are very different.
I am still struggling with my knee, the wound has healed on the other leg leaving an ugly scare that I hope in time will go.
I don't mind you posting this on your site, after all that id where I found you. And like you I believe in fighting for what I believe is right, and just because of their might I will not be afraid!
Regards Rob,
Lillian
This is my first time using facebook and I guess it was me trying to figure out what to do??? Bit slow down here!"
Seems pretty simple to me friends, the easiest way to avoid these types of situations is to AVOID Target. Don't work there, and especially don't shop there, unless of course you want to be treated like Lillian. Any Questions?
Another Target Customer / Sedgwick CMS Connection?

Nature of Suit: Torts - Injury - Other Personal Injury
Interestingly, this particular case was settled and the complaint and answer are not available on PACER.
And just in case you have doubts about how people like you and me feel about Target, I offer the following video (more than 1,300,000 views). Peacefully and purposefully, excellent!
